ScribeFire

I've been investigating the options for updating my blog offline, and as ever, much of the available software is only for the PC. I've decided to try out ScribeFire, an add-on for Firefox. My hope is that whilst I'm in Antarctica I can prepare blog entries and publish them on my return home, rather than trying to play catch-up.

At first glance it seems to do what I need - providing the option to create new posts, edit old posts and assign categories and posting date to entries. If you can see this post, then it would appear to work.

Cat feeding goes hi-tech

Last week I ordered 3 automatic cat feeders from Amazon, and this morning I brought them over from England (wondering all the while why I didn't just pay to have them delivered here).

Although their primary purpose is to make life easier if I go away, or want to go out in the evenings, I'm hoping that I can also train the cats to use the feeders in the morning, rather than jumping up and down on me, and hour or two before I want to get up.

Choir Reunion

As luck would have it, my first visit back home since Christmas co-incided with a choir reunion. As well as all the usual suspects, plenty of people turned up that I hadn't seen in years, along with a few faces from before my time.

Introit: Praise, Dyson
Responses: Moore
Canticles: Collegium Regale, Howells
Anthem: Valiant for Truth, Vaughn Williams
